My name is Cathie and I'm 28, and like you Tasha I just cannot conform to the stereotypical "Cristian" phenomenon. I definitely believe in God and all of that but have my own beliefs too.
I'm a mother of 2, ages 2 and 4 (almost 3 and 5), a writer, a teacher though not by profession, a world creator (for RPG's ad my books), a reader, and all around a mentor to a lot of people. I've tried my hand at poetry, and while I liked the few I came up with, my heart belongs to novels. My current projects are a novel called "Dragon's Lineage" which is in its final section, and the National Novel Writer's Month competition (NaNoWriMo.org), which starts in November, and I'll be writing a book called "Distress Calls." I write almost every genre of fiction. "The Empty Locket" on Lulu.com was a young adult or independent reader level fantasy story. It was my first book and probably the the one piece of work that has taken the longest to complete (and it's still not complete for editing in my opinion).
I come from a military family. My parents were Navy, my sister and her husband were/are navy, my sister-in-law and her husband were/are air force, father-in-law was army now Christian minister, and my husband served in the Navy for 6 years and got out finally in February 2005. So this is my 2nd year ever being a civilian. I've been through a lot, needless to say. 9/11 was a major turning point in my life. I stopped watching the news because every time I did, I broke down in tears, and heard nothing but lies (they were flat out lying about when our guys would be home out on the ships). I hate what the world has become at times which is probably why I create my own.
Anyway just thought I would throw my intro up on here!!!
